The zero sequence magnetic flux, zero sequence current circulation circuits, and the electromagnetic structure of the windings have fundamental differences, which directly determine the zero sequence tolerance and the single phase short circuit capability.

1. Zero sequence capability

Yyn0: Both high and low voltage of 1000kva 10kv 400v dry type power transformer  are star configurations. The zero sequence current at the low voltage side cannot form a loop at the high voltage side, converting into zero sequence flux, which generates eddy currents and overheating in the core and metal components.

Dyn11: The high voltage is a delta winding, and the zero sequence current will form a circulating current within the delta loop, significantly reducing the zero sequence flux and avoiding local overheating. The zero sequence carrying capacity is significantly enhanced.

2. Single phase short circuit performance

Dyn11 can limit the single phase short circuit current, and the three phase force is more evenly distributed, the electric force borne by the windings is smaller, and the dynamic and thermal stability margin is higher; at the same time, there is no zero sequence additional loss, which can effectively protect the epoxy insulation of the 1000kva 10kv 400v dry type power transformer and reduce the risk of cracking.
