The working principle of a SCB9 1600 kVA 10kV dry type power transformer is based on the law of electromagnetic induction. When an alternating current flows through the primary winding of the transformer, it generates a changing magnetic field in the iron core. According to Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction, this changing magnetic field induces an electromotive force (EMF) in the secondary winding, thereby making voltage conversion. Specifically:

Primary winding current generates a magnetic field: As current flows through the primary winding, it produces an alternating magnetic field, which creates a magnetic flux within the iron core.

Magnetic flux induces voltage in the secondary winding: This magnetic flux is transferred to the secondary winding through the iron core, generating an electromotive force in the secondary winding, which in turn produces an output voltage.

Voltage conversion: By adjusting the turns ratio between the primary and secondary windings, different voltage conversions can be achieved.
