The wiring method of copper 160 kVA 6.6kV 440V dry type step down transformer

Short circuit the input and output terminals of the transformer, then use a megohmmeter to test the insulation resistance between the shorted terminals and the ground wire. When using a 1000V megohmmeter, the resistance value should be greater than 2 MΩ.

The cross section of the input and output power cables should meet the current rating requirements. It is recommended to configure the current density at 2–2.5 A per mm².

Connect the three phase input and output power wires according to the busbar colors on the transformer terminal block: yellow to phase A, green to phase B, and red to phase C. The neutral wire should be connected to the copper 160 kVA 6.6kV 440V dry type step down transformer's neutral terminal. The ground wire should be connected to the transformer enclosure. Check the input and output wiring to ensure it is correct.

First energize the copper 160 kVA 6.6kV 440V dry type step down transformer under no load conditions, observe and measure whether the input and output voltages meet the requirements. At the same time, check for any abnormal conditions inside the unit, such as unusual noises, arcing, strange smells, etc. If any abnormality is found, immediately disconnect the input power supply.

After the no load test is completed and everything is normal, the load can be connected.
