Structural Characteristics of 500kva 11kv dry type nltc distribution transformer:

Coils: The coils are wound with copper conductors,either wire wound or foil wound, reinforced with fiberglass, and fully cast with epoxy resin without fillers using vacuum drying and degassing processes. This results in high mechanical strength, strong short circuit withstand capability, and excellent impulse resistance.

High Voltage Windings: The start and end terminals, as well as intermediate tapping leads, are embedded with copper nuts. This structure provides good rigidity, facilitates easy tap changing, and ensures a neat and aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Core: The core is assembled using high quality grain oriented cold rolled silicon steel sheets with 45 degree fully mitered multi step lap joints. The surface of 500kva 11kv dry type nltc distribution transformer is coated with an insulating resin layer, providing moisture resistance, rust prevention, and noise reduction.

Clamping System: Elastic components are used between the core, clamping fixtures, and coils to keep the coils under constant compression, thereby reducing noise levels.

Cooling Design: The 500kva 11kv dry type nltc distribution transformer is designed for natural cooling (AN). Longitudinal ventilation ducts are preformed inside the coil walls of the fully cast high voltage and low voltage windings. Forced air cooling AF equipment cooling fans can be installed as an option. With forced air cooling, the rated output capacity can be increased by 50%.40% for ratings of 500kVA and below.

Temperature Monitoring: The 500kva 11kv dry type nltc distribution transformer is equipped with a BWDK series temperature controller. Platinum resistance sensors Pt100 are placed in pre embedded holes at the top of the low voltage coils to monitor the winding temperature rise. The controller automatically starts or stops the cooling fans and provides functions such as fault alarm, over temperature alarm, and over temperature trip. These features offer reliable overload protection for the dry type transformer, thereby enhancing its operational safety.
